Winter is on its way, bringing with it cold temperatures and chilly winds that are tough on our skins.  Staying indoors doesn’t help because indoor heating tends to deplete our skin of its natural moisture, leaving it dry and lacking in lustre. Protect your skin against the harshness of winter by drinking a lot of water or warm herbal teas, and adding more intensive moisturisers to your daily full-body skin care routine.

Winter is a time when you should be focused on protecting your skin’s moisture. Some facial cleansers can strip your skin of natural oils and dry it out. Over time this can lead to an increase in visible lines and wrinkles.   We recommend you swap your gel or foam cleanser for an ultra-hydrating cream or oil-based cleanser.

Your summer moisturising routine will probably not be enough to keep winter skin at bay over the chilly months. Your skin will most likely need more moisture, more often.

  1. If you usually use a moisturising lotion, you may need to switch to a moisturising cream.
  2. Moisturising is particularly important at night, even for oily skin, as your face loses more moisture overnight than at any other part of the day.
  3. Regularly apply a hydrating facial mask.
